The MGB GT V8 is arguably the ultimate iteration of the MGB. Throughout motoring history we can see numerous examples of our almost insatiable desire to seek more thrills by squeezing a bigger more powerful engine into the space a small engine had sat previously. Such is the case with a 3500cc V8 powering the most popular sports car of a generation. Of course MG had tried other power plants with the straight 6 engineered into both roadster and GT version and called the MG C. However the installation of a V8 unit hugely increases the ‘grin’ factor of the already tried and tested MGB.

This car is an original factory produced V8 and it retains its original refurbished engine to this date. There is a Heritage Certificate supporting matching numbers and V8 authenticity. A 6 owner car first delivered to through Saville Motors of Solihull on the 23rd of July 1973 and registered PAC456M.

The car was professionally restored some 5000 miles ago and presents nicely in correct maroon bodywork with black leather trim. The V8 motor sounds superb and the car drives very nicely with a smooth gear change and overdrive fitted. There is a good history file with the car including the original MG ‘Passport to Service’ history book still with the car. Lots of old  MOT’s to support the 80k miles as being correct.

These original V8 MGB’s are rare exciting and very collectable cars. They are also highly tuneable for very little money. If the thrill of a V8 wasn't enough you could easily upgrade the V8 into a real fire breathing monster. Either way a super car and great investment
