Sunbeam Alpine series IV 1965
The Sunbeam Alpine has always been a beautiful and very cool car, perhaps that's why it was chosen to star in the very first James Bond film Dr No in 1962. Who can forget the iconic images of Sean Connery driving the Sunbeam Alpine in the chase scene making the car an instant iconic classic.
This is an original UK RHD numbers matching car in lovely condition. It has had just 3 previous owners and retains all its original features including original hard top.
In addition there is a good history file containing numerous service & maintenance receipts, old MOT's, Historic Rally entrance certificates and a very cool original sales brochure with beautiful period artwork highlighting what a superb car the Sunbeam Alpine was when new and remains so to this day. The body is in solid rust free condition with little evidence of previous repairs.
The panel gaps, door shuts and paintwork are very good indeed. The interior is all to original spec and is in excellent condition the seats recently having been recovered to a very high quality.
Recent expenditure includes new chrome wire wheels, tyres, wheel studs, brake seals, shoes & flexible hoses, steering, windscreen seal, re-chromed bumper, re-covered seats, battery.
The car drives beautifully, overdrive engages smoothly and the exhaust note is sweet.
Comes complete with an optional tonneau cover for use when the hardtop roof is removed.
Such a stylish and charming car it's hard not to fall in love. Ready for summer motoring this car won't be available for long so an early viewing is recommended.
